In the unfortunate event that you have been involved in an accident please ensure the following details are taken at the scene no matter if the accident is your fault or the other parties.

Please take pictures of the accident damage and the location of the incident.
Please ensure you take note of the vehicle registration number, make and model of all vehicles that may be involved.
Please attempt to take the contact details of any witnesses.
Please call Simply Insurance as soon as possible.

Claims Check List
  • Your personal details, and preferably, your policy number - you can find this on your Policy Schedule or Certificate of Insurance
  • Tell us what happened - and what damage there is to your vehicle. If you think it’s necessary, take photographs of the scene and the car, but only if it’s safe to do so.
  • Details of 3rd party - make sure you get the names, vehicle registration, insurers (including telephone numbers) and contact details of anyone else involved in the incident.
  • Details of any witnesses - or any other people who were involved in the incident.
  • Dashcam footage - some direct policyholders have received discounts for having a dashcam, it’s the most reliable independent witness there is!
  • Police reference number, if applicable - you don’t have to get the police involved when you have a bump, but if you do, you’ll get a reference number from them a few days after your accident.
